Makeshift Press is a multimedia collaboration between friends and co-conspirators, gathering and sharing art and community work that cracks through the concrete of empire, that feeds a living, interconnected, liberated world. In addition to publishing Makeshift Magazine once a year or so, we make prints, zines, mixtapes; we throw shows with music and art and sometimes soup. Makeshift is a relational project largely based in Yelamu and Huichin, but open to contributions from anywhere. 

We built Issue 3 to be its own living altar: a reflection of gifts to a world we hope to build. We offer our breath, our work, our fruit, and our hearts. This issue is a place for many ancestors to gather; a small paper convergence of past, present, and future. Thank you for offering it your time, your eyes, and your hands. May resistance answer to prayer and weave the world anew.
